What a Beautiful View

This is apparently what the GVRD Mayors call sustainable growth.

we’ll have to twin the Lions Gate – with tolls, of course.

That would be soooo awesome to see!

My hubby already had 3 condo rental properties in that upper-west van area
before we married and with another 4 we added to our investment portfolio
with our combined incomes…I can say that in the future we’ll make an
    absolute killing selling out!

This is great! — If even the lowest-end worst-case scenario of current 10 year
price projections pan out as predicted, within that same 10 years we’ll be able
to retire with a MINIMUM of 4 million dollars in the bank and THAT is BEFORE
we both hit 45 years old. Freedom 45 sounds good to me!

It may be bad for YOU as a NON-homeowner!

BUT for me and hubby…WE’LL BE LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK!

While the capitalist system seems UNFAIR TO YOU…it was PROBABLY
ALL YOU’RE OWN FAULT for not working hard enough to save for down-payments
and NOT getting into the housing market when you had a chance!

YOU reap what you sow…and if you’re broke it’s pretty much YOU’RE OWN FAULT
because YOU SCREWED UP YOUR OWN LIFE!!!

    LIFE IS GOOD FOR ME!

WOWWWW!!! If its external approval that you are seeking, you have mine!!

… and with an attitude like that, I really do wish I were you!!

The Canadian real estate bubble is fueled by two important things: mortgage insurance from the CMHC and interest rates. Both originate with the govt, not the free market.

Christianna, I would be interested to know what your lowest-end, worst-case scenario is. Do you see it as moderating price increases, flat prices or possible price declines?

  5. LOL condos in West Van are worth less now than they were in 2008.

Say something..
